Making Your Great Ideas Into Reality: How it Works?

The manufacturing of plastic and metal prototype parts or in small series is the core business of our rapid prototyping services. Turn your project into reality in 3 steps:

1. YOUR PROJECT: On receipt of your 3D files, our design department offers you the best solution to suit your needs in 24 hours (material, finish and quantity to be produced).

2. PRODUCTION: The manufacture of prototype parts occurs in our workshop according to the technology (CNC machining, vacuum casting or thermoplastic injection) and the chosen finish.

3. DELIVERY: Once your prototypes have been made, you will receive a visual representation by e-mail. Your parts will be sent within 3 working days by DHL. A tracking number will allow you to track the package until delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions: Custom Titanium Parts

1. What are the advantages of using titanium for custom parts?

Titanium offers an exceptional combination of properties that make it ideal for demanding applications. It boasts a strength-to-weight ratio higher than most metals, excellent corrosion resistance (especially against saltwater and chemicals), high heat tolerance up to 600°C, and outstanding biocompatibility. These qualities make titanium parts popular in aerospace, medical, marine, automotive, and high-performance industrial applications.

2. Which grades of titanium do you work with?

We commonly machine and fabricate the most widely used commercial and aerospace grades, including:

  • Grade 2 (CP Titanium): Excellent corrosion resistance and weldability, ideal for chemical processing and marine parts
  • Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V): The most popular alloy, offering superior strength for aerospace and medical components
  • Grade 7, 9, and 23: Specialty grades for medical implants, biomedical, and chemical environments

The right grade depends on your application’s mechanical, thermal, and environmental requirements.

3. What manufacturing processes are available for custom titanium parts?

We offer a full range of titanium fabrication services, including CNC milling, CNC turning, 5-axis machining, precision grinding, EDM (electrical discharge machining), waterjet cutting, sheet metal forming, welding (TIG), and surface finishing such as anodizing or passivation. The best process depends on part geometry, tolerances, volume, and end-use requirements.

4. What tolerances can you hold on titanium components?

Standard machining tolerances are typically ±0.005″ (±0.13 mm), while precision-machined parts can achieve tolerances as tight as ±0.0005″ (±0.013 mm) depending on geometry and feature complexity. We can also meet aerospace standards like AS9100 and medical standards like ISO 13485 when required.

5. How long does it take to produce custom titanium parts?

Lead times vary based on part complexity, quantity, and material availability. Prototypes typically ship in 2–3 weeks, while production runs generally take 4–8 weeks. Expedited services are available for urgent projects. Material sourcing can affect timelines, since certain titanium grades and forms may have longer procurement windows than other metals.

6. How do I request a quote for custom titanium parts?

Simply send us your 2D drawings, 3D CAD files (STEP, IGES, or SolidWorks formats preferred), along with details such as material grade, quantity, tolerances, surface finish, and any required certifications. Our engineering team will review your specifications, suggest design optimizations if applicable, and provide a detailed quote—typically within 24–48 hours.
